		<description><![CDATA[No shortage of paleosols in Northeastern OR.

Paleosols and buried soils are now a component of Geologic Hazard Assessment in that part of the world. Buried marshes were the big paeosiesmic indicators that folks were working with when I was in Grad School in Portland … ohhhhh… well… along time ago now.

Be aware the geology is complex out there. Lots of mashed up terranes covered over with volacanics frosted with a veneer of crazy geomorphology.]]></description>
