		<description><![CDATA[Thanks for the Great Post!  I will be checking all of my Pleurodictyum specimens for the snail mold!  We find them in outcrops and along the shore here in Western New York at Hamburg Beach on the shores of Lake Erie and in some nearby quarries where the Hamilton Group of the Middle Devonian is exposed. Paleontology is always more interesting when we can reconstruct some ecology or any associations between organisms.  Platyceras is another Middle Devonian Hamilton Group snail that is often associated with crinoids. It seems that the snail dwelled among the tentacles of crinoids and other echinoderms and was coprophagus to put &quot;poop-eater&quot; in more biological terms. Thanks again! SJW]]></description>
